Former Barcelona defender Chicho Flores has hailed the work of Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.
Flores played for Guardiola with Barca B.
But Flores told Radio Marca: “It was an amazing time as I was there with [Pep] Guardiola and Tito Vilanova.
“I learned so much from them and the club, of that desire to always play good football.
“Being a kid, I had the chance to train with [Lionel] Messi, Ronaldinho, [Samuel] Eto’o, Deco, [Andres] Iniesta, Xavi, [Carles] Puyol… it was crazy.
“[Guardiola] is a global reference and, at the start, he wins you over.
“I learned so much from them.
“He instils lots of sporting and personal values into you like playing football and having a personality.
“In the last game, we were playing for the league and he showed us a video of a father who did a triathlon with his disabled son.
“He told us that ‘if there are people who do unimaginable things then you privileged ones can’t do anything less’.”
