No matter the genre, retro is in and the same is certainly true of Major League Soccer jerseys with clubs hosting retro nights and putting old school merchandise on sale.
The San Jose Earthquakes are selling retro scarves, pre-game jerseys and trucker hats at Avaya Stadium and online here.

Sporting Kansas City will celebrate Retro Night on May 27 when the club hosts Columbus Crew SC. A retro jersey featuring rainbow sleeve details and an “Oh When the Wiz” jock tag will be on sale in Children’s Mercy Park. The first 10,000 fans will also receive a retro jersey koozie.
As part of the festivities, 90s music will be played during pregame and throwback videoboard graphics will take fans back to the old Arrowhead Stadium days.
The Chicago Fire are celebrating their 20th anniversary as a club and bringing everyone back to 1998 on May 20 where fans will get a Corner Kick ticket to see the Fire face the Houston Dynamo along with a ’98 throwback jersey t-shirt — inspired by the jersey worn in the 1998 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup final — all for $40.
There will also be 1998-themed music, graphics, trivia and more.
