Father of Eder Sarabia defends Barcelona antics

The father of Eder Sarabia has defended his antics as Barcelona assistant coach.

Eder could be seen criticising aspects of Barcelona‘s play in an exuberant manner as they were beaten by Real Madrid.

“Obviously, moving to Barcelona is a big step and Eder knew it was because we’d spoken about it,” former Athletic Club striker Manu Sarabia told Onda Cero.

“You know that any decision taken at Barcelona is going to have a different dimension and a repercussion.

“My son is happy and content, with the same desire and passion, which is still growing.

“He’s living his dream.

“You’ve called me lots of times and I’ve wanted to stay on the outside, but I don’t understand this controversy.

“A completely normal day-to-day situation in the dugout has been taken out of context.

“He knows the code of a dressing room, not only because I told him, but because Quique Setien is a master when it comes to managing the group.

“Eder, in his passion to improve and grow, is very passionate about this type of thing.

“In others, in tactical aspects and training preparation, it’s a lot easier for him and he manages it to perfection.

“Going on what Eder tells me about what he’s experiencing day to day, he tells me about very focused and professional players at the highest level who train with lots of desire.

“Of the things I’m seeing improve in this Barcelona it’s the intention to do what the coaches are asking, it’s implication in working on the mechanisms that the coach wants.

“He speaks very well of them.”
