Liverpool are exploring buying back Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona at a huge profit, it has been revealed.
Barca are looking to head in a new direction under boss Quique Setien, and Coutinho, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, doesn’t appear to be in the Spaniard’s plans.
Bayern Munich have the option to sign Coutinho permanently at the end of the season, but reports in Germany suggest the Bundesliga giants have no plans to do this when the transfer window opens.
The Daily Express says Coutinho could be available to sign for as little as £77million, which is set to attract much Premier League interest.
If Liverpool re-signed Coutinho for this amount they will profit £65million from selling and buying back the 27-year-old Brazil international.
Coutinho has been linked with a return to Liverpool in recent weeks amid claims Reds boss Jurgen Klopp would consider taking him back to Anfield.
