Sport says Barca have made contact with former Espanyol forward Borja’s entourage to find out about his availability with an eye on then opening negotiations with Betis.
So far, it has just been indirect contact to sound what chances they would have of doing a deal.
Borja became Espanyol‘s most expensive sale ever in the summer when Betis paid his €28 million release clause. They made a huge effort to take him to Seville, so are unlikely to make it easy for him to join Barça, who are also missing Luis Suarez for the next few months.
