Manchester City are pushing to open new contract talks with Eric Garcia.
Sport says Garcia is tied to City until 2022 and the defending Premier League champions are eager to extend and upgrade his terms.
City have been attempting to agree terms for some months, though nothing is yet settled.
Inside City, they’re in no doubts about the potential of the former Barcelona prospect. A City source said: “Talent aside, Eric is the player with the greatest professional attitude in the entire academy. There’s distance between him and the second.
“I had never seen such a mature player being so young.”
