Antoine Griezmann has no plans of joining Atletico Madrid on Sunday for the first day of preseason training.
Marca says he has informed Atletico Madrid that he won’t be reporting for training on Sunday.
Los Rojiblancos had made it clear that the Frenchman is expected to turn up on Sunday for pre-season training, and that disciplinary action will be taken should he not fulfil his contractual duties, but it appears he will not show up.
He is believed to be unhappy with the way the situation has played out.
Despite his future being made known before the 2018/19 season ended, nothing has been agreed yet between Atletico and Barcelona, his likely destination.
If no progress is made in the discussions, Barcelona will likely activate his release clause next week.
