Emery is considered to be an “elimination specialist” for his three consecutive Europa League triumphs with Sevilla between 2014 and 2016.
And he could take yet another scalp on Wednesday, when he will be guiding Arsenal in the Euro final against Chelsea in Baku.
President Josep Maria Bartomeu has reportedly held emergency crisis meeting with Valverde, 55, following the Copa del Rey loss, fuelling rumours over his future.
