Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has a new found respect for teammate Roberto Firmino.
Firmino missed Barcelona‘s 3-0 Champions League rout of the Reds in midweek.
Wijnaldum remarked: “After the game, I have much more respect for him.
“I already had that, but now even more, now that I know what that position entails. I know how difficult it is to play as Liverpool‘s number nine, certainly in the way he does.
“I spoke to him after the game and I told him how much respect I have for him for the way he has acted as a striker for the entire season. It’s really that tough.”
The Dutchman added: “We were devastated. But you always have to put the heads together again. You must keep trying. You have to repeat the things that you did well and change the things that worked less.”
