Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek has expressed interest in Barcelona midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
Barcelona have some financial difficulties – meaning the club may have to sell players to give new head coach Hans-Dieter Flick the opportunity to strengthen.
There has been speculation that names such as Ronald Araújo, Frenkie de Jong or Raphinha could be sacrificed – but Gündogan looks set to be safe.
However, there are enquiries arriving for the midfielder – particularly from Galatasaray.
Ozbek admits the German is his dream signing.
“We have to sign about three players to be effective in the Champions League. Maybe it’s time to try to get my dream signing, Ilkay Gündogan,” said the president.
