Barcelona goalkeeper Ter Stegen slams LaLiga after Real Madrid defeat

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen slammed LaLiga after their 3-2 defeat at Real Madrid.

Barca twice blew the lead to lose 3-2 on Sunday, with Lamine Yamal having a goal disallowed by VAR due to no goalline technology being available.

Ter Stegen later said: “I lack words regarding the technology of the line… that they do not find a good angle to check it… It is a shame for football. Other leagues have it. This world moves a lot of money and there is no money for what which is important…, I think it’s a shame. We had everything in our favour and we haven’t won.

“It’s disappointing. If you don’t win any titles… we’re disappointed in ourselves, that we’ve failed.

“In addition to the decision of Lamine’s goal… We have not had the patience in their field, with the score in their favour, nor the control. And they are capable of finding a solution. We did not defend up to par. We allowed them to have chances.

“He (the referee) has an influence, it’s part of the game. But the defeat is not due to a referee’s mistake nor has anything changed to favor Real Madrid.”
