LaLiga president Javier Tebas says Barcelona need some major sales to end their Financial Fair Play worries.
Speaking at the FT’s Football Business Summit, Tebas was asked if Barca fall like Ajax have in Holland.
He replied: “Barça has options that its leaders can take if they believe they are going to need solutions. They have two or three top-level players who can be sold. With this, they would solve a large part of the problem.
“With that they can generate income that does not generate debt interest and with that they can pay players.
“As happens to many clubs, it is going through a complicated situation and our ‘fair play’ forces them to be where they are. As far as I know, they have not been eliminated from the Champions League and can still win the Spanish League. There is no need to be so catastrophic about Barcelona.”
