Getafe president Angel Torres is adamant Mason Greenwood wants to stay next season.
There is now talk of Greenwood, who is being linked with Barcelona, returning to parent club Manchester United at the end of his season-long loan.
But Torres told Radio Cope: “There was a lot of movement, we had to study it. We found out what had happened. He has a child with her. He handles it well, he is calm. He is very comfortable. He is crazy about staying another year.
“It is an issue that they have to decide. There is new ownership. They have to say it. In Spain there is a market but they have money. Barça’s way of playing is going well but it depends on Manchester United. If it is true, they will tell me about it.”
On the investigation of Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham insulting Greenwood, he added: “Whoever discovers it says it. I respect that what happens on the field of play stays there. Greenwood is dedicated to playing. We have not reported it.
“The news that I have received is that an American network says that they have called him that. Getafe hasn’t said anything. I haven’t spoken to Florentino because I have nothing to talk about, we haven’t done anything.”
