Barcelona U19 coach Jose Lana says Pau Cubarsi is the total package.
The defender, just turned 17, is now a major part of the senior team after his debut before Christmas.
Lana told Marca: “In his position we always look for him to be a technically gifted player, with good ball delivery… but what caught my attention the most about Pau is that defensively he was a very good, aggressive player, with some outstanding defensive concepts.”
Lana also recalled: “He is a very good teammate and a great captain. He encourages when he plays and if he has to give a voice and focus people, he does it.
“On one occasion, with the U15 team, I remember that at the end of a game and leaving everything tidied up in the locker room, he was the last one to leave and he stayed sweeping the floor with a broom so that everything was perfect. It speaks to the type of person who Pau is.”
