Juliano Belletti has been promoted at Barcelona.
The former Barca fullback has been named assistant coach to Rafa Marquez with Barca Atletic.
Barca announced today: “Juliano Belletti has joined the Barça Atlètic technical staff as assistant coach for Rafa Márquez from this week. The former Brazilian player, who wore the shirt of the Barça first team between 2004 and 2007 and was the protagonist of the achievement of the Paris Champions League in 2006 with the decisive goal, will carry out work similar to that of recent months in the technical staff of Youth A.
“During the years that he was a Barça player, he was a teammate of Rafa Márquez, and now they will meet again as coaches, with the common goal of training young players for their professional careers.
“Before returning to Barça, retired as a player, Belletti had had two experiences on the bench. In 2021 he was assistant coach in the first team of Cruzeiro EC, and from September 2022 to June 2023 he was the coach of the U-20 team at Sao Paulo FC.”
