Barcelona president Joan Laporta wants more positivity from the Catalan press.
Laporta insists the local press should be more constructive with their criticism.
He said: “We accept criticism as long as it is from objectivity and good practice typical of your job, we accept it and try to help us improve.
“With critical journalism we tell them that we are very self-critical of ourselves, so as not to fall into complacency, which is the worst enemy of success.
“What we are trying to do is move our actions from fierce criticism to a more objective one, but with this we could write a doctoral thesis and never finish.
“I am convinced that, sooner or later, we will catch our rivals for the lead in the League. The important thing is how we finish, not how we start.”
