Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen is happy being nominated for Denmark Player of the Year.
Andersen is up against Manchester United striker Rasmus Højlund and Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen.
“It is of course a huge honour. As a child, I dreamed of becoming a national team player. It worked, which I am very proud of,” he told Bold.
“Now for the second year in a row I am among the three nominees for player of the year in Denmark. I didn’t even dare to dream of that. So yes, a huge honour.
“Now we have to see what my colleagues say. After all, it is the players who vote for this award, and since we players tend to think we are the real experts, we must hope that the experts vote correctly this time, haha.
“But then, these are two good players, so there is tough competition, says Andersen, who has not yet received a ballot and therefore has not decided where the cross will be placed.”
