Barcelona chief Deco says they’ll continue to bring through talent from the La Masia academy.
Deco insists coach Xavi will continue to lean on their young talent.
He said, “There are clubs that are doing crazy things, they spend two hundred and something millions every year and they don’t win the Champions League either. Although Barça cannot be a team that only brings young players and depends on the academy; It has never been like this in its history. Having important young players is good and it is being seen: we have invested with (Ronald) Araujo and it is paying off; the same with Pedri; Gavi and Lamine (Yamal) leave the academy.
“But we have won LaLiga last season because we have been able to bring Koundé, Raphinha, Ferran Torres, players to compete. We have been able to keep Frenkie de Jong and bring in Lewandowski.
“Everything is a balance of the squad, the team, what to look for.”
