The Spain attacker is on a straight loan at Brighton from Barcelona for the season.
Sport says while Barca are open to selling, Fati wants to return to the Spanish giants.
The 21-year-old has a contract with Barça until the summer of 2027.
He has started his stay at Brighton with three goals in ten appearances.
