Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi insists Ansu Fati will be an important player this season.
De Zerbi says he’s bedding down the Barcelona loanee.
De Zerbi told The Argus: “I think Ansu didn’t play bad in Marseille. He could have scored two goals, one with the header and the other if Welbeck had passed the ball, no?
“It was a difficult game, especially in the first half – for us and not only for Ansu.
“Ansu needs to play, needs to feel confidence, needs to make mistakes, but he is an important player.
“He didn’t play a lot of games last season and we have to help him to improve, to play better, and he has to help the team to win the game.”
