Barcelona signing Vitor Roque has avoided serious injury.
The young striker, now on-loan with Athletico Paranaense, suffered what appeared a serious injury against Internacional this week.
There were concerns Roque had suffered a knee injury.
However, Athletico have since announced: “Vítor Roque underwent tests this Friday, following the sprained right ankle suffered in the match against Internacional.
“With imaging tests and evaluation by the club’s Medical Department, a ligamentous injury to the syndesmosis of the right ankle was confirmed, without the need for surgery.”
There is a belief Roque will join Barca in January.
