New Barcelona sports chief Deco says they couldn’t consider re-signing Neymar.
Neymar has just left PSG for Al-Hilal in a €100m, though was also being linked with a return to Barca.
Deco said: “Everyone knows that, unfortunately, at this moment our economic situation makes it impossible for us to make purchases of this kind.
“We needed an agreement with PSG or an understanding with the Arabs, but it didn’t happen.
“It was a situation where it could have been economically feasible for us, but it could never have been a solution for us due to our economic situation.”
