Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski insists he’s not thinking about retirement.
Lewandowski, 34, is preparing for his second season with the Catalans.
He told the Athletic: “I compare myself with the rest of my teammates and I feel like I’m there.
“I don’t know how long I’ll stay at that level, if in two or three years I’ll start to think that enough is enough. Maybe it’s later. I think that, physically, I will be fine for the next two or three years.
“I am the age I am (he will be 35 on August 21). I do not feel behind the rest.
“I feel as if I have been in Barcelona for many years, I love life in the club and in the city.”
He also said: “The main complaint we can have from last season is the Champions League (in which the Catalans were knocked out in the group stage). I think we were out of luck. We suffered a lot of injuries on the defensive line. If you revisit the games against Bayern Munich and Inter Milan at home, the tempos of everything were horrible.”
