Jordi Alba has announced he is leaving Barcelona.
The fullback has waived the final year of his Barca contract to leave as a free agent this summer.
Alba accepts he will only be second-choice behind Alejandro Balde and so has decided to move on.
Sport says his decision took president Joan Laporta by surprise when calling him on Tuesday.
“Are you sure you want to do this,” was Laporta’s immediate reaction before accepting the veteran’s decision.
