Manchester City coach Manuel Estiarte has deleted a social media pic celebrating their 4-0 Champions League rout of Real Madrid.
In the aftermath, Estiarte posted a snap of himself with City manager Pep Guardiola and other members of the staff and friends.
They all held up four fingers, with Guardiola being joined by his brother, Pere, City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak and former Argentina president Mauricio Macri as they celebrated in a private room at the Etihad.
It’s suggested the ‘four’ gesture was is reference to a famous snap of former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique when he celebrated a 5-0 win over Real Madrid with five fingers.
Real fans were unimpressed by Estiarte’s photo and he quickly deleted it after the backlash.
