Espanyol defender Cesar Montes says they’ll be ready for Barcelona on Sunday.
The Mexico international feels ready for Barca striker Robert Lewandowski and co.
He told Mundo Deportivo: “I face it with a bit of calm because I know what a derby means for this squad, for the club and for the fans. In the first round I was days away from being able to participate but I couldn’t do it due to situations alien to me. Now I face it anxiously and wanting to be on the field and do it in the best possible way.
“In the first round, at the Camp Nou we drew. Now they come to our house and although each one has their situation and their objectives, a derby is always different. I already had to experience some derbies in Mexico and I know what they represent. I really want to experience it from the grass.”
On Pole Lewandowski, who he faced in the World Cup, he added: “For me he is a ‘top’ player, a great reference for his team. But we are in a derby, there are different circumstances than in the World Cup. But I have the same conviction to move forward.”
