Barcelona coach Xavi has shrugged off suggestions the LaLiga should help them re-sign Leo Messi.
LaLiga president Javier Tebas has stated he’d like Barca to re-sign Messi from PSG – though not without complying to LaLiga financial rules.
Xavi said, “It’s a question for the president of LaLiga.
“You’ve asked the wrong person. There are rules and I don’t see any help. There are rules that must be complied with.”
Last week, Tebas said: “Today they can’t sign Messi, but hopefully they will manage it. There is still a lot of time left. We are awaiting a viability plan. They can sell players. Today it is difficult. Hopefully, as a league, Barça will make the necessary moves for Messi to come, but we will not change any rules so that they can sign Messi.
“That’s what we expect. I would like Messi to play in this competition.”
