Barcelona are putting together an offer to bring Lionel Messi back to the club and meet the LaLiga’s Financial Fair Play claims.
Off contract in June, Messi favours returning to Barca over massive offers from MLS and Saudi Arabia.
Sport says LaLiga would give the OK to Messi’s registration if the Argentine agreed to earn some 25 million euros gross per season at Barça, four times less than what he earned when he left the club.
This is the tactical agreement that Barça would have reached with LaLiga for now within the negotiations of the new salary cap of Barça with a view to the 2023-24 season, which also includes the updating of the contracts of Ronald Araújo and Gavi among others.
Barça’s offer to Messi would be for two seasons, although the Argentine would have the option to unilaterally terminate his contract after the first year. Messi, who ends his contract with PSG in June, has a dizzying offer from Saudi Arabia and also a proposal from MLS.
But his dream is to return to Barcelona.
