Elche have challenged the legitimacy of Barcelona‘s 4-0 win on Saturday.
Elche are unhappy Gavi played on the day.
Cadena COPE reports Elche have argued that Gavi should not have been allowed to play as he has had his licence cancelled.
“Article 141 of the RFEF would prevent Gavi from playing again in the same season with a cancelled licence,” the radio station said.
However, Elche‘s claims were dismissed by both LaLiga and the RFEF, as the league and the federation have assured that everything is OK with Gavi’s inclusion.
Elche have been informed Gavi has a registration with the B team and has the No.30. This came after his first team contract was cancelled due to Barca failing to comply to Financial Fair Play limits.
