Arsenal director Edu is keen to secure the signing of Barcelona starlet Ilias Akhomach.
The youngster is available on a free transfer when this season concludes.
The 18-year-old has excelled at youth level for Barca in recent years.
Per Sport in Spain, Edu has been holding talks with Akhomach’s representatives.
He is hoping to convince the player to come to England for a chance at more first team action.
Sevilla and AC Milan are also being linked with his signature, while talks have been held with Leeds United.
Akhomach will have to decide where he is most likely to play week in and week out.
