LaLiga president Javier Tebas says they won’t adjust their rules to help Barcelona register Gavi as a first team player.
Barca’s second appeal against the denying of Gavi’s senior contract was rejected this week. He is on track to becoming a free agent this summer.
“They have not given us the reason on the merits, only that they presented the precautionary measure one day late,” Tebas said. “There is still the main lawsuit, which still has time left.”
He hopes Gavi will not be left out of Barça’s squad next season, but the current situation is that he is still not registered beyond the current campaign.
Tebas also took the opportunity to stress that “we are not going to change the economic control for Barcelona“.
