Barcelona are pushing Sergi Busquets for a decision on new contract talks.
Sport says the club are working on keeping him for one more season.
And the reasons are clear: the salary limit is tight and the investment capacity this summer may be nil, so it is advisable to maintain talent by reducing salaries to a point that can be acceptable for the player.
Busquets will have a renewal offer soon and it will be for one year, without an exit clause in case he wishes to leave in January and with a salary that will be a far cry from what he currently receives.
It will still be a more than worthy offer, though, and one that will not differ much economically from what he could receive from any MLS team, a league that has capped salaries.
