Barcelona have completed the signing of LA Galaxy fullback Julian Araujo.
The Mexico international arrived yesterday at his new home and will sign until 2024 with the option to expand the deal.
“I’m very happy,” he said upon arriving in Barcelona, “it’s a dream to be at a huge club and I will give my all.”
FIFA initially did not ratify the January transfer due to a late registration… by 18 seconds. The Spanish club subsequently went to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and the team were able to sign the player.
The Mexican international will join Barça B, the youth team run by Rafael Márquez, who has already talked about his most recent signing. The ideal scenario for Araujo is for him to copy his compatriot and make the jump to the first team in the future.
