TOP 10: Barcelona No1 Marc-André ter Stegen best performing keeper in Europe

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen is the best performer in Europe’s top five leagues.

He has conceded just seven goals in the first 21 LaLiga Santander games.

Barça’s German goalkeeper has the best average in Europe: 0.33 goals conceded per game, a goal conceded every 270 minutes, or one goal every three games. Ter Stegen has also kept 16 clean sheets out of a possible 21 matches — 76.2 per cent. Record-breaking form.

Ter Stegen leads the ranking of Europe’s best goalkeepers, ahead of England’s Nick Pope of Newcastle, with 13 goals conceded in 22 games (0.59) and 12 clean sheets (54.55 per cent), and Poland’s Wojciech Szczesny of Juventus, with 13 in 16 (0.81) and 11 clean sheets (68.8 per cent).
