The Dutchman’s sale is expected to be announced on Friday.
Barça and Atlético have already agreed on the basis of the agreement – all that remains is to tie up the final details. The player has been in Madrid since Wednesday waiting for his transfer to be confirmed.
Memphis, who had six months left on his contract with Barça, goes to Atletico for just over €3 million euros plus €1m in add-ons.
He will sign a contract with Atlético to 2025.
