Barcelona coach Xavi admits their Europa League playoff Manchester United isn’t welcome.
Xavi admits it was the worst pairing Barca could’ve received.
He said: “It is the most difficult rival, on paper, that we could face. It has grown a lot. It has great players. We have been dealt the worst rival that could have touched us.
“I said the cruel thing in the Champions League because of the football issue, but it’s true that we don’t have any luck in the draw either. You point out the worst and that’s your turn. Let’s compete. The players will be even more motivated against a strong rival on paper.
“The obligation to win the Europa League? There is always a rival who will also have the obligation. You really like this obligation, failure… It is a challenge, the club has never won this title and we are going for it.
“They have great players, individuals, but I would highlight the group. We will analyse well. It is a great team, not only because of Cristiano. It is a great team, a historic club and it has the need to win.
“I think he is a great player. He has marked an era in world football and he can still make a difference.”
