Barcelona defender Sergi Roberto insists their performance matched Real Madrid‘s in defeat on Sunday.
Barca lost 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Roberto said, “It’s important to be good in both boxes. It’s a shame. In the moment when we have had control of the ball, we were able to create clear chances and it’s a shame when the second goal arrives. And later when we were better and pushing for the draw, we get his with a penalty on the counter-attack, making it impossible.
“We know football is sometimes more about streaks than performances. Now we are on a bad run and that is when we have to be more united than ever and work harder than ever. We have another final on Thursday and we have to go for the three points. We all have to be more united, club, team and fans.
“Before the game, we were top of the table and there is no need to burn everything down. We are a family, there is a good atmosphere and the result is a shame. I have confidence in this team. We have to have patience, because we will do good things this season.”
