Mika Marmol has signed for FC Andorra – which is owned by his former Barcelona teammate Gerard Pique.
Barca have not made any money from the deal, but have retained 50 per cent of the sell-on rights for the Andorran centre-back as well as a buy-back clause.
The player has signed for two seasons.
Thus, Mármol will continue his career in the Principality. He will play in the Segunda division, as Eder Sarabia’s Andorra won promotion last season.
The new team of the Barça youth player have had a rough start with one win and two defeats in three games. They are fifteenth in the table.
Mármol has put an end to his time at Barça with 63 appearances for the reserve team. He has scored three goals and made one assist.
