Barcelona concern as Man Utd pull back from Dest plans

Barcelona are hawking Sergino Dest across Europe.

Sport says Dest has to leave Barcelona before the end of the transfer window but so far neither the player nor his agents have looked for a way out.

Barça have been offering Dest to other teams in part exchange deals to bring down the cost of potential operations but have not received any positive responses.

Dest is not of interest to Villarreal. Borussia Dortmund could be keen but the German side do not want to let Thomas Meunier leave this late in the window.

Barça’s aim was to sell Dest for around €20 million and there was hope that Manchester United would move for him. Dest is on their list of potential targets but they have not yet made a bid as they focus on other deals.

The Catalan club have not ruled out a loan deal, either, if they can find a club willing to include a clause to make the move permanent.
