Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso is ready to join Barcelona.
The Spain international is a step closer to joining Barca after Chelsea welcomed Marc Cucurella from Brighton on Friday.
The Daily Mail says Alonso is understood to have said farewells to staff at Chelsea‘s Cobham training ground as he looks to seal his transfer this weekend.
He has won five major trophies in six years with the Blues and played over 200 games for the club.
Alonso, 31, agreed terms on a two-year deal with Barca earlier this summer and is eager to return to Spain.
The left-back is a former Real Madrid Castilla player, spending ten years with Barca’s eternal rivals.
