Bournemouth manager Scott Parker is not expecting any arrivals before Saturday’s clash with Aston Villa.
The Cherries have been linked with Barcelona goalkeeper Neto this week.
When asked if there was any progress made on a deal for Neto or a new centre-back to arrive before the Villa clash, Parker said: “I think that might be unlikely. We’re definitely down the line with certain things and certain ones.
“That gives me and all of us at the club encouragement.
“We’re trying on that and definitely we’re in the right remits for that.
“But maybe the weekend comes a bit quick for that.”
