Barcelona striker Lewandowski on Bayern Munich farewell visit: Now I can leave with a clear conscience

Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has spoken of his visit to Bayern Munich‘s training HQ on Tuesday.

The Polish striker didn’t leave on the very best of terms, having pushed for a transfer to Barcelona even though he had one more year left on his Bayern Munich contract, but there are no hard feelings.

“I was sad and difficult,” he told Sky Deutschland during his visit to Munich.

“I will always be grateful for what I won and experienced here.

“I have thanked everyone for what they did for me and given them gifts. It was emotional and difficult.

“The last few weeks were difficult for everyone, but I will never forget what I had here and I thank the fans for their support.

“Now I can leave with a clear conscience.”
