Neville slams Barcelona over treatment of Man Utd target De Jong

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has sent a rebuke of Barcelona‘s conduct regarding Frenkie de Jong.

The Red Devils are attempting to secure the Dutch midfielder this summer, but the pursuit is proving difficult.

One issue is that de Jong believes he is owed deferred wages from previous years, which were placed onto future years of his contract by mutual agreement.

Going onto Twitter to talk about the situation, Neville explained: ” De Jong should consider legal action v[ersus] Barcelona and all players should be behind him.

“A club spending fortunes on new players whilst not paying the ones they have under contract their full money is immoral and a breach. FIFPRO should be all over bullying like this and stop it.”
