Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has ruled out selling Bernardo Silva to Barcelona this summer.
City and Barca will play a charity match in August to race funds for Guardiola’s former assistant Juan Carlos Unzue, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2020.
At a press conference to confirm a friendly, Blaugrana president Joan Laporta commented on the rumours linking Silva with a move to Camp Nou.
Asked what his plans are for a game against Barca that will take place shortly after domestic campaigns across Europe have begun: “We will bring all our top players to Barcelona for Unzue’s ALC charity match at Camp Nou.”
Laporta replied quickly: “Bernardo Silva?”
Guardiola quipped back, stating: “Bernardo Silva… and 10 more.”
