Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta faces having to demand a transfer to get a move to Barcelona.
Azpilicueta has a year to run on his Chelsea contract and had counted on receiving a free transfer to smooth a move to Barca.
But Barca are growing frustrated with the lack of progress over the move.
The Sun says Azpilicueta, 32, is reluctant to ask to go because of his love and loyalty to Chelsea after ten years there.
Chelsea have the right to hold him to a 12 month extension clause in his contract and could force him to stay. The Blues triggered a 12 month option in Azpilicueta’s deal in April.
