Barcelona are due a tidy windfall after Real Valladolid‘s promotion to the LaLiga.
La Masia graduate Monchu left Barça last summer after almost a decade at the club. He was allowed to join Granada for free, but with 50% of any future transfer going to Barça.
Monchu left Granada at the start of the season for Valladolid, who he has helped seal their return to the top flight of Spanish football.
As a result, Valladolid are obliged to make the loan permanent, which will cost them €1.5 million. Of that cash, €750,000 will go to Barça.
