Former Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas is urging Gavi to sign a new contract.
The midfielder remains in a contract dispute with Barca as his deal reaches it’s final year.
Liverpool and Chelsea are among potential suitors for the 17 year-old and Cesc, who is leaving Monaco, says: “He must stay here.
“He played many games at a very difficult time in the club’s history and at 17 he showed his face – and with a lot of personality.
“He’s very good but, of course, he’s only 17 and he can improve a lot.”
