Barcelona chose to release Kays Ruiz from his contract due to attitude problems, it has been revealed.
Sport says Barcelona announced on Wednesday that they had decided to unilaterally cancel the contract of B team midfielder Kays Ruiz.
Ruiz, 19, had a contract at Camp Nou until 2024 but will leave the club immediately after they grew tired of his behaviour since returning from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
Ruiz left Barça in 2015 due to the FIFA sanction but was re-signing after a spell back in France, with a lot of hope placed in him leading the B team.
However, it’s been a story of disappointment since he came back. Aside from injuries and physical problem, Barça have grown tired of his attitude.
The midfielder has committed various acts of indiscipline and has also broken internal rules within the team.
Coach Sergi Barjuan experienced several moments of tension with the player, who was warned to change his ways or suffer the consequences.
Barjuan gave him plenty of chances but in the end, after eight matches without playing, the club decided to release him.
