Leeds United winger Raphinha was high on Chelsea‘s shopping list this season, it has been revealed.
Raphinha is expected to leave Elland Road this summer, with Barcelona president Joan Laporta confirming their interest.
However, Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports Chelsea were preparing to bid for the Brazil international.
A move for Raphinha was being lined up before Chelsea was seized by the UK government from owner Roman Abramovich.
Barca are now favourites to sign the winger at season’s end.
