Ferran Torres says Barcelona‘s defeat of Elche was proof of how much they’re improving under Xavi.
Goals from Torres and Memphis Depay helped Barcelona come from behind to win 2-1 at Elche on Sunday and move third in LaLiga.
“There’s been a big change under Xavi,” said Ferran, who came on at half-time to net the equaliser, to Barça TV. “We’re playing with the style we want and that the coach has instilled in us. And we’re getting good results.”
Ferran added that Elche “is a tough place to come and they played a really physical game. I am really happy with the win and happy that my goal helped. Now we can think about Thursday’s game (vs. Galatasaray in the Europa League).”
He praised Barça for “not losing patience. We had the ball and the result came. I am happy to form part of this great team and to contribute. We have to keep going now.”
